  • The water woes

Well about 2 weeks ago, I think, I noticed coolant coming from my car which I thought was over flow cause it got up there in heat around 210ish so I kept an eye on it and now more leaking till today. I can tell it came from the water pump. What did it cost to get it replaced for those that have had it done?

Ok I am needing help on this one ya'll I decided to do it myself. The manual says to unbolt the powersteering bracket well I have been having trouble unbolting the bottom bolt near the exhaust manifold. I can't tell what it is b/c well I only have a flash light for light, but it is interfering with me unbolting it. I know that it is a 1/2 inch bolt but nothing seems to be able to get in the right position to unbolt it.

I don't know abou tthe 3.4L engine but it also said remove the PS braket on the 3.8L engine but you do not have to do that. I just removed the bolts on the pump and changed it. But remmeber I have a 3.8 so you may have to do that.

Well thanks for responding. I had people tell me that I need to undo a bolt and it would swing outta the way nop sorry didn't happen. I had to remove the bracket because it was blocking two of the water pump bolts. I think the next gto, camaro, and firebird if they come back need more of an enigne bay to work in. I finally got the pump off though. Now I am resting because it is humid *** heck outside.
