  • Automatic Passenger window

Ok I remember reading about this o say 8 months ago. Making your passanger side window automatic like your drivers. I know I could get my Hayes manual out but I figured I would ask you guys first.

You can do that? That would be cool. Someone tell me how.

There's a module in the dash. It's called an auto-express module(?). I had mine replaced once. You could wire in another one into the passenger side wiring.

Any clue what the number is on that?

None whatsoever. Your local parts department might even look at you funny if you asked them for that. I'm sure there's an electronics guru somewhere on this board who could build one. Something that senses a short current flow and holds that flow open for 5 seconds.

            What about this:

Say you have a wire coming from the window switch that goes to this relay. Couldn't you just splice the same wire from the other switch into the same relay?

I think it would be cool to have both drivers buttons have an auto-down feature. Push, and bam, both windows down before you know it. :D

Even better, I've always wanted an auto-up feature.

*Brian calls his dealer: "I would like three auto-express modules for a 95 F-body, please"

              Dealer hangs up on him.

              Crap.

I'm not the greatest with wiring and such but this is something I'd like to look into myself..

This module goes from the drivers window switch on the down side of the switch to a + or - lead somewhere. If it was moved to the + or - lead for the whole window system, wouldn't it be auto-up and auto-down on both windows?
