This is NOT an official call of beta testers... just a friend trying to help out!

If you would be interested in participating in the beta test program, here's what I can do (from an outsiders point of view)...

If you want to email me your name, address, car type, tranny type, and phone number(s), I can pass this information to Hypertech next time I go over there. If/when they need beta testers, ya'll will be the first on the list! :D They'll need my car again when the speed-limiter issue is solved. FOR 2000 MODELS ONLY, PLEASE!

I'll keep your information private and only give it to Hypertech for the sole purpose of possibly becoming a beta tester.

    Email me at webmaster@wtfba.hispeed.com

So, there is going to be a programmer for 01's? I was told by Ftforce.com that Hypertech was not planning on making one... Did they tell me wrong? I'm so freakin' excited! :D

They already make one for 01 and 02 =-)

Just call and you'll see, they really don't have it listed anywhere though.

so what will stop everyone from simply changing the puter to a 2000 model puter then u can use the programmer.

I was told by the guys at Hypertech that the 96, 97, & 98 computers are completely different from each other in the way they function... which is why they didn't come out with the programmer earlier. Doesn't do any good if you have a pre-99 to swap to a 2000 PCM because you don't have an electronic throttle body. They have the programmers for 99-up! :D

They currently have the programmers for 99-up or they are still making the ones for the '99? Just askin since its been awhile since October when this thread was first started.

Have they even said anything about the future for a 97 programmer?

I just emailed my contact at Hypertech. I'll pass on any info I can on the status of the Hypertech Power Programmer 3.

P.S. Did I mention that it definitely removes the speed limiter?! I buried the speedo one weekend! :D When I hit 125 MPH, I let out of it. It wasn't planned so I didn't have my Autotap with me to record the top speed.

I requested the programmer for the '01 by email, but they told me that it was not available yet, and to keep checking their website. Would they tell me different if I called? If not, thats alright, I'll just get my thermostat, whisper lid, and CAI while I'm waiting for the programmer...

I saw the '01 HPP's for the V6 F-body advertised in GMHTP a month or so ago......

Haven't bothered calling to see if it's really available or they're just getting a bunch of hype started before they release it...guess I may do that in the next day or so.
