That's a big "nay" on that one. Still can't find anyone that has a '98 Y87 with T-5. Amongst 3000+ members...no one has one

So my speedometer is still off. Looks like I'll have to get a HPP3 or Granatelli's correction software.

I appreciate your help though, you were one of a limited few who actually tried to help.

What are you trying to gather from the vin #? I have seen people ask this a few times and am unsure of why some won't give theirs, as well as why there is not one easily obtainable. From my undersdtanding you only need the vin to fool your PCM into thinking you have another car. Does this have repricussions in any way, either to the original vin holder or the new one?

I just need the VIN so that I can have my computer recalibrated for my new 3.42 gears. I had 3.23's and upgraded, and now the speedometer is off because of the gear change. Since the Y87 car came with 3.42's that's why I need the VIN. Once I get the VIN I'll have someone reprogram my car with it and it will get my speedometer accurate again.

If you can send me yours (In E-mail if you wish) I would be terribly grateful.

Y87 Manuals did NOT come with 3.42 gears. They came with 3.23's just like the non Y87 manuals. The Y87 automatics came with 3.42's however.

              Man!

Can't get any accurate information around here. I'm really glad I got the GM-Specs Book for the 1998 Camaro. I just hate going through page after page of codes and numbers to find out that people weren't correct in what they told me.

              *sigh* HPP3!

              #$&* it!
