I usually do 1 big mod to my car a year. This year I am debating between SLP roller rockers or a torque converter. First question is which mod will have the cheepest install price remembering that with a converter I will also have installed a tranny cooler. Any ideas for install prices? Also which mod will give me more grunt for the money? Thanks

Thanks for the help guys, well, I would like to do some of these mods myself but Im just not the type that can do it himself. (I will just screw something up, so I figure just take it somewhere and get it done.) I like the idea of a torque converter but I dont like the idea of it being sluggish and having to gas it up a little more to get the car moving. I want the low end grunt but I want it to be as natural as possible with a budget in mind. Approx $800 for parts and install of a mod. So I seen the roller rockers and thought this might be a way to get a little more but im not sure how much down low? The slp kit dosent get you too much down low (if any).. If you want to do rocker arms call up ZZP performance.. he has some rocker kits that are alot cheeper and get the same results..
I run one of his new ER kits and it kicks butt ..
I gained around 10rwhp (+-1->2hp) on the mod.. its pretty easy to do.. i have an outline of it on my site..
there is also a huge thread on it in advanced tech..
the zzp kit had gains thoughout the whole power band.. i thnk the slp kit lost a little of its low end.. i cant remember.. there is an artical on it in gm high tech perfomance..
the whole install took us (2 people) about 3.5 hours.. taking pictures and working with grand prix instructions (they were not too helpfull)..
its a pretty easy install.. except for the )(*@&%#@#)(*&$ bracket on the back of the engine..
anyway,
to get to rocker arm install:
click on site in signature
roll over installs
click bills 3800
click rocker arm install
to see the gains i got:
go to website
click performance
click bills 3800
take a look at the "post rocker install dynos"
and whats this whole automatic transmission nonsence that you all keep taking about? (kiding)
I dont know did-a-lee sqaut about torque converters..
