i might if i deside to take it out. What kind of power gains can i get from it? Is it worth it? Also will it effect my defrost?1997 Firebird M5
Bright Red
Mods: SLP Intake, Autometer A/F Gauge, Magnaflow CatBack Exhaust, BMR STB, Cragar SS rims W/ Nittos on front and BFG drags on back

Stock Dyno Numbers: 170hp and 210lbs TQ

no power gains
you would lose some wieght in the front...30 lbs or so...
taking out the AC doesn't increase power...running w/ AC on decreases power...
well...now that i think about it...you would need a new belt to compensate for the AC pulley not being there, so there would be less mass the engine would have to turn...i'd say a gain of about .5 hp... .25 rwhp.
not really worth it unless you're really into the front weight reduction, or you're going to use the AC space for something else like a SC or a turbo's downpipe.1998 Chevrolet Camaro L36 M5
1982 Toyota Celica Supra 7MGTE project car - FOR SALE

\"I find the most sensual part of the woman is the boobies.\" - Zap Brannigan
