As long as your programmed for the gears, then top speed wont be hurt any. The 4.10s or 3.73s will just pull you up there a lot faster. You wont even be trapping at the 118mph governor anyways, so the top end you lose from the gears cannot even be reached. (Isn't it still almost like 140 if the governor was removed?? something like that). You will however have a higher highway cruising rpm. I think a guy with 4.10s said he does 70 @ 3000rpms or so on the highway, so you gotta remember you are gonna lose a few mpg, but nothing major. I'm getting 3.73s as soon as my next paycheck comes in, I can't wait.

I think the Super six Motorsports package is the best deal. That is what im going to go with in the spring. P&P heads and intakes, also a Cam to go with it. I mean thats a great deal and give u a good amount of HP. Check that out and see what u can do

yea, go with the SuperSix package. PCM tuning gets you dead even with an LT1 on a stock 3800. and you have a few other mods, so you will def be in the 13's.

Mighty Thor - If I had the money, I'd go for a 12 second V6.. But I don't have 3 grand to drop on a supercharger... I'll let you know how the Pacesetters are after they're put in.. I have them sitting in my garage right now, won't be able to put them in until next weekend.

As far as the SuperSix, I had looked at it but I wasn't sure if it would be enough to hit mid 13's.. As far as the programming goes, where can I get that done? I've heard it's nearly impossible with a 96.. And also, for the SuperSix, do I have to send out my heads and all to get them ported, or do they get new ones and port them and send them to me? I'll have to look into it more, cause I am a little worried about the nitrous wearing on my engine..

i would say that a cam and a 75 shot would be a good start with a limited budget. If you can afford the supersix package that is another option. As or the wear and tear factor, i think a 75 shot would be fine if you didn't use it too often and followed all the precautions on safe use. If you can though i would say supersix, a converter and sticky tires and you could be close.

from what i understand about supersix, they send you the stuff, and you pay them for everything + a core deposit. then you ship them back your heads, upper and lower intake, and cam, and they give you the core deposit back.

and i believe that they do the PCM tuning also.
