  • Trunk Rattle

My trunk lid is rattling like crazy, everytime I hit any kind of bump. It's highly anoying any way to tighten anything up to correct it. It sounds like its the actual latch itself hiting somthing.

are you sure the antenna isn't loose out back? It can create a similar sound to what you're experiencing.

The part of the jack handle that flips up was rattling for a while on mine.

no its not the antenna or the jack. Im pretty sure its the hatch itself. with the hatch closed I can wiggle it up and down and will make that noise.

              JohnC I FEEL YOUR PAIN!!!

i have the same problem. i tighen every bolt, took everything out and still got the rattle. it's seems like that latch itself.

i have been battling this war for 2 yrs now. also i found out when my hatch is half way open and i drive around, it would make a sound..

i also have that electronic latch, i don't know if it has anything to do with it..

It's either the jack (lug nut remover not the jack itself) your attena or your decklid. If it's your decklid try this: There are the two rubber stops at the corners of the decklid underneath. They get worn a bit. Try unscrewing them out a bit to make a tight fit when you close your decklid. That might help.

yea its definatly the hatch ... i guess some people dont have this problem and try to divert your attn to something its not when they are clueless ..

i have yet to get my lazy *** motivated to fix the problem .. i would say adding some sort of extra rubber seal around the edges ...

some say to tighten the hatch itself by lowering the latch that the hatch hooks too.. havent tried that or anything else . i just deal with even tho it is annoying as hell...
