Ok i'm not sure whats going on but when my car is in drive and i'm at a complete stop I hear a metallic rumbling sound and its not coming from the muffler.. almost directly under the car.. it goes away when I give the car gas and it goes away when I put in into park... what does this mean?

Sounds like a heat shield rattle. You say that it is directly under the car...would that be in the center of the car or the rear. its pretty much in the center... Sounds like your heatshield may be rattling or your cat may be rattling...A lot of times it's just the heatshield but it could be the cat...I'm actually having the same problem right now on my 97 RS..and i'm pretty sure it's the cat..
