Swap Pics

My engine swap is finally starting to come along, its been almost 2 months now without my truck. It took me about a month to get the engine mounted. I had to cut the oil pan, crossmember and make custom motor mounts. The engine is in and it looks good. At this time I am making a set of headers. I bought 4.3 S10 headers, 2 of the ports line up, so i just have to move one pipe and make a flange. I work in a machine shop, so this was not a problem.

Does anyone have an idea how i can connect my metal fuel lines to the plastic lines comming off the fuel rail?

Man those pics bring back all the fun i had when i converted my 4x4 s10 blazer to a 305 tpi, out of my wrecked 91 camaro. I towed my truck to a proformance shop and had them do the engine compartment fuel lines to adapted to my metal lines. and after looking they just used a wierd tube to connect to the metal lines one side was thread and other had like the snap together fitting (like on the fuel filters) thats how mine was done.not sure how they made it or if some one sells a piece like that for the conversion or not .

That looks like a fun project. I am really curious how it runs, I bet it is going to be a screamer!!!

I think i can probably find some kind of fitting to connect the two. I was just trying to see if anyone had any experience with it.

If i can get all the bugs worked out from the swap, it should run pretty fast. Since i do have a LSD 3.73 and the total weight of my truck should be under 3000 pounds.

Thanks for the help and post if anyone thinks of any problems i might run into!

those are quick disconects. Fragile things if you're not careful. Jeep uses them on their fuel filters.

interseting pics, & I thought my engine swap was a pain interesting placcement of oil filter
