Help! (please ;) ) Yes, I have tried search...
Problem is this: the glass (rear widow) is peeling away from my top. I have tried silicone products, for windows, but, nothing seems to hold.
Would an epoxy be too harsh on the top? I am afraid that the tension from the top might be too much for the fabric with an epoxy on it.
If not an epoxy, then any suggestions for an adhesive?

Anyways, I am trying to avoid buying a new top, so any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Steve

I have no clue what to tell you on that one...If it where me that this had happened too, i would buy a new top for the main purpose of getting my ugly tan top off and a nice black one on. :D ;)

When you can't find an answer on this board, you can always try searching the net. I typed "convertable top repair" (spelled wrong, I know) into www.google.com, and the first one that came up had the info.

On a side comment, I am always impressed with how active the miata community is. Every time I go researching mods/repairs, I always come across some good info by someone who owns a miata.

thanks for the replies, I appreciate it. I tried a search like that before, I didn't find that particular link. I've heard of those adhesives, my next endeavor was going to be the 3M black.

I just think I will have to replace the top, though. Oh well, it is getting up there in years anyways.

        I love this site!

I had the same problem. I used Goo and that worked for a while...there is a glue out there that is an animal (rhino, gorrila or elephant) that claims to be the strongest out there....I got it a craft store, and it has held for the longest....it is clear
