  • Quick Spark Plug Question

Are platinum (like AC Delco Platinums) spark plugs good for the engine?
In the haynes manual it says to replace them and theres a small blurb about non-platinum plugs

I know you're not supposed to use platinum with nitrous, but other than that, it's just personal preference. Personally, I HATE changing the spark plugs on my car. I'm not a damn contortionist. I bought the best(my opinion) double platinum plugs I could get my hands on. I don't want to change them again for a long time.

as long as you're naturally aspirated, stay with AC Platinums. they are the correct heat range and resistance on which the engineering of the ignition system was based. there has been no evidence that conclusively has shown that any other plug performs better in naturally-aspirated 3800 engines. don't fall for the bosch marketing. put in it what was designed for it.
