This is a new one for me...

My son's 96 3800 Firebird SES came on tonight, and when I scanned it, I get a DTC of P0336
(Crankshaft Position Sensor A CKT Range/Perf).

I cleared the code, and it hasn't come back.

    Has anyone else experienced this?

I thought if the crankshaft position sensor failed, the engine would quit running. Does the 3800 have two sensors? (I know some big V-8s do)

If it is a bad sensor, is it a PITA to replace?
