  • water pump leaking?

Well i have been leaking coolant for a few days and today when i was refilling it i noticed right after i filled the radiator that water was dripping from the water pump area onto the serpentine belt. This looks to be the source of my leak. I guess my water pump is bad? anyone have any input?

There is a little weep hole on the bottom of your water pump(behind the pully) and if the pump or seal go bad it drips from there. I just replaced mine a little while ago for real cheap. I got it at Advanced auto. pretty easy to change also.

Well, Hi guys, I finaly got my Admin ok, so Now I can start posting on the boards. (I waited two weeks or more!)

Anyways, I recently purchased a 1997 Coupe. A few weeks ago, my water pump went out. The drip on the belt is the water pump for sure.

Mine ran about $30 I belive. Its not too bad of a job. While your at it, I recomend flushing the whole coolant system right away too.
