Here's whats happening. About two weeks ago I noticed my car was shakin' a lil' too much for my taste. At this present time it is shaking constantly, right after start-up. It smells pretty bad on the exhaust and sometimes I smell fuel. When i'm at a light the oil pressure reads between 20 and 40 and kinda goes move from side to side a tiny lil' bit and the car revs up a lil' bit over 1 rpm. When I hit the gas the car kinda stutters and i can hear the exhaust hesitate, kinda backfiring and the car shakes and shakes. After a good 15 minutes of drivin' the car it begins shaking less and less and it smoothes down a lil' bit. WHAT IS WRONG WITH MY CAR?????

    lol

I remember about a year ago you had something wrong with your wires. Could be that, plugs, coil packs, fuel filter, etc. Are you getting a SES light?

Yea, remember that? The thing that was wrong were the wires had gone bad and they changed it and the cat as well (Carsound) I'm gonna change the wires and sparkplugs as well as the fuel filter (i bought it a couple of months ago, never got around to installin' it) As far as the coil packs go, are they expensive??? And how hard is it to change the fuel filter and coils?

If your coil pack(s) went bad, your car would vibrate all the time, and it wouldn't go away after warmup. I would guess one or more of your wires went bad.

The 95-97 3.8's had a huge problem with the #2, #4, and #6 spark plug wires because they ran extremely close to the upper intake manifold <within about 1/16th of an inch>. When the engine would heat up to operating temp, the intake manifold would get hot and begin to melt the wires causing an arc/misfire. I replaced all of my wires and wrapped a piece of high-temp header wrap around the wires, and my problems disappeared. ;)

High-temp header wrap? Where do i get that? I'm changing my fuel filter and then i'm changing my wires as well. As far as the shakin', tonite it never went away, and once it shifted to 4th gear and the rpm went downt to 2 i could feel the vibration pretty good.... guess i'ma be changing out those 3 things

Start with the cheapest thing first. Do the wires, and if the problem is still there, change the coil packs.

If you want a piece of header wrap, email your address to me and I'll have it in the mail tomorrow morning. All you will need is two wire/zip ties to hold them on the wires right where they pass over the upper intake manifold.
