Please direct me accordingly if this question is in the wrong forum. Its a general question about many parts so i thought i'd place it in General Tech.

I have sort of a Christmas list for my car, that is.... a list of parts to add over the next 2 years or so (as funds accumulate) to get real performance out of my 99 v6 auto. Could i see 12 second 1/4 miles with the below parts?

High Flow fuel pump
larger injectors
Performace Ignition (including premium plugs and wires)
Heads (like the ones at supersixmotorsports.com)
Performance Pistons (8.5 compression ratio for supercharger) and Crank.
All the appropriate seals and gaskets
Headers
High flow Cat and Magnaflow 3.5 inch catback
Suspension (springs, coilovers, sway bars etc)
Upgraded Torque Converter
Reprogrammed ECU with speedlimiter removed
and
Eagle F1 Supercar tires (Goodyear i believe)
Now, how badly do YOU want to see my brake lights?

Pacesetter headers, 3 inch y pipe, high flow cat, magnaflow catback, many suspension mods, intake, built a4 with 3200 torque converter, 5 angle head job, dis 4, firewires, etc etc....

heck no. are you kind of new to this sort of thing? cause it seems like you have just been going around web sites and started putting down things you think you need. you need to do some reading my friend. i would read the advanced tech forum, the exhaust forum, the drivetrain forum, suspension forum, and finally the supercharger/turbo forum. read my friend read. you have the right idea, there is just somethings missing and details can be your enemy if you dont study.

I have been reading the forums for a while now, and i was just throwing out a list (0ff the top of my head) of the bare minnimum parts for more hp. I know what you mean about the details. Just curious if i left any major components out of my list.

The list looks ok, but should be done in the correct order, which I think that's what blldogg's trying to say. Example:

Intake/ Exhaust
Drivetrain
Suspension
THEN, you would move on to internals & power adders.

Doing your mods in an order somewhat like I listed above will help you get more out of your mods. For example, an upgraded suspension and drivetrain would perform better under the additional power produced by a NOS kit or a turbo. Plus, some of the mods on your list would be worthless without doing a lot of the others first. (ex. larger injectors)

Take more time to plan your mods out. Don't just go buying parts and throwing them in left and right. Just a little constructive critcism.

glad to hear you have spent the time to study. some people will just ask what they need to do to get in the 12s and get pissed when we tell them to search instead of putting everything on a silver platter.

things off the top of my head that your missing on the list, is a cam, springs , rockers, pushrods and your supercharger. yeah menphis_raines, is right. the lack of organization kind of threw me off. you will need to do things in order. if you get pistons then exhaust, it wont give you want you want for awhile.

i think if your put down a full list and have details, we will be able to roughly tell you what you might expect out of a 1/4.

Thanks very much, Great info. I have a magnaflow 2.5 inch cat back system (3.5 inch tips) sitting in my bedroom, waiting to be welded on. I have a generic cone type air filter mounted in my TB, so that does it for intake and exhaust for now. Headers, y-pipe, and high flow cat come next. I'll be drilling the suspension forum about shocks and so on. Viper, I go active duty AF in December, i'm scheduled to leave for basic Dec 28. I'd like to hear about your experience in the AF sometime.

Cheers

I'm still waiting for some kind of impressive numbers coming out of this rebuild before I would agree with this statement ;) However viper does have one of the most built up cars to date.
