i have a 2000 3800II camaro. with only 25k miles on it, my a/c compressor rarely kicks in and is obnoxiously loud. and am i also supposed to feel a huge drop in HP when i turn on the a/c???

If it's loud then it probably has a problem and you should stop using it. Get it looked at.
