It's located between the cylinder head and the block. It's gonna cost a fortune, but take it to a mechanic. Hopefully they can check it and find out that the problem is not the head gasket.

Why do you think a head gasket is blown?

it doesnt sound like the head gasket is blown. my gaskets were bad a little more than a year ago. i had severe cooling problems. i'd add coolant and it would just disappear and fall into the radiator somewhere. after about 2 minutes of driving the temp spiked to 270. i opened the hood and there was coolant everywhere. the gasket could still be bad and there wont be any cooling problems, but there might be oil leaking into the cylinder. if thats the case, then the exhaust will have blue smoke coming out...or is it white...

The smoke is a white color, and um yea my temp gauge its broke, we got our sensor replaced cause that what we where told was broken was the oil sensor was some how busted, But we got it fixed, then about a week later it flipped out once, and bam its broken it sits on the right side i took the glass that covers the gagues/panel and i turned the car on move the gauge and i barely even put force onto it, and it pushed my finger back to the rght side of the gauge, The sensor is just fine its not busted or anything...I think we need a new engine:)

well, your obviously burning coolant if thick white smoke is comin out the exhaust. Make sure and check your coolant level. Also, im not too familiar with the 4th gen 3.8, but couldnt it possibly be a bad intake manifold gasket? and since you asked where the head gasket was, then i can only assume that you cant do it yourself, so save yourself the trouble and take it do a decient shop
