  • How do I change coil packs?

Please help me. I don't know how to change them and I think they are the reason my wife's firebird is mis-firing after about 8 minutes of driving. Detailed instructions would be great!

Unscrew the two bolts holding down the coil, pull odd coil out, put new coil on, screw the two bolts back in....is that detailed enough?

well if you want to get technical the new coils should have new grommets for the terminals, so you'd have to put those on in between pulling the old and installing the new coil... ;)

Shouldn't break anything, although you may need a deep socket/extension just FYI.

ya if your doing this on a 3.4 it takes some luck/skill getting the bolt in back of the coil out.

Where in ohio are you from?

I only installed 2 of the 3 nuts when removing my control module. Was that stupid? doesn't seem to negatively affect anything...
