    Hey guys...
On my friends 97 camaro 3.8 his power door locks do not work. If you press the unlock or lock button on either the passenger side or the drivers side you can hear the actuators in both the doors make a sound, but neither door locks or unlocks. Could this be a problem with the actuators being misaligned??? I never took off a door panel before or aligned actuators or have any idea why they don't work. Any help would be great..he just bought his car and thought it would be a quick fix..i do too but i need some info before i go ripping his door apart
    Thanks,
    Rob Oleksa

Check the actual locks on the inside of the door (the latch that you can move back & forth to lock or unlock the door), & make sure it operates freely. I had a problem once where the cover to the latch (it's a black piece of plastic that covers up what looks like a metal hook) came off & got jammed, causing the doorlocks to not function properly. It doesn't sound like the switch itself is bad since you can hear the solenoids operating. However, they are cheap & easy to replace if they are indeed the cause of the problem.
