yeah buy a z or ss. Insurance would have been only like $20 more a year for me when I was 19. I think that was like Gieco or one of the other big online companies.White 98 Camaro with t-tops leather and Y87. For more info on mods just ask.
1/4=14.9
2002 Xterra V6 A4

i agree...buy an SS or Z28...to do the swap you need the tranny, computer, front shocks, gas tank, radiator, and more sh*t thats gonna cost you more money.....then think about doing turbo/supercharger on that ;)12 SECOND DUAL STAGE DRY NITROUS POWERED 98 A4 V6 CAMARO
www.MySickCamaro.50megs.com
Best ET: 12.82@103
Best MPH: 104.7
Best 60\': 1.75 - Stock TC

quote:
Originally posted by Shodown:
1DV6 runs 12\'s...enough said.

nobody has answerd his question yet? i'd like to know the answer as well
what if one person has put so much money into other aspects of their car besides the powertrain that it would not be feasable to sell it and go back to stock everything on a new z28 or SS....
anyway, question was, whats better and cheaper, swap a v8 in or blow the v6... anybody have an idea?2000 Bright Red Camaro 3800 V6, A4, LSD, 3.42
Whisper lid, K&N, American Thunder Catback, Wings West GFX, Billet Grill

http://www.mfba.org
http://home.comcast.net/~thontor/camaro/

I vote for a turbo. I believe somebody just dynoed at 347 rwhp at only 10 psi. Thats more than you would be putting down with the LS1, and arguably for a lower price. Not to mention you get to tell everybody you beat them in a 6!All gone :(
Best ET ever: 14.3 (I think)
----------------------------
Check out my site for exhaust clips, burnouts, and pictures, and the supercharger throttle body mod.
Click on the Firebird
