hmm... when you did your brakes did you pull and regrease your pistons?
Freind of mine on his 02 35th LE SS never had grease on one of his calipers and the pistons seized up the caliper.
As for ABS, light has it alwasy been on since you did the rear end? I never had problems on my 94 with a 97 WS6 rear end, or on my 2k swapping my reluctor ring over.

actually rereading you said it randomly pulls to one side or the next... hmm... sounds like your ABS system might be doing something a little goofy?
Does it do it enough that if you pulled the fuse ot the ABS unit you would be able to tell if it stopped turning the wheel on you. maybe your ABS unit went bad? Randomly releasing pressure on certain wheels? causing you to pull the opposite side of the wheel that is releasing the pressure?

If you brake on uneven pavement, especially with those wide tires, it's going to pull in one direction or another. Sure you're just not used to it since you didn't drive it for so long?
As for the ABS Inop light on, if it's on then the ABS shouldn't be working. Check all 3 connectors and make sure they're all still plugged in tight. Back of each front wheel hub and the one in front of the rear axle.
