My car seems to have a problem burning things. The last 3 times my car has had trouble its been melted plug wires and/or cracked spark plug. My car's 'sputtering' again, but unlike the last few times it is when I maintain a flat speed (especially in 4th gear circa 2000 rpm). The next step is to get in under my hood and check things out, but just for grins and giggles... are there some better parts I can buy (plugs, wires, etc) that would be able to put up to more heat? Someone has suggested a covering for the plug wires - I'm sure that would help, too. Thanks.

Yep, reviving a long buried post... but the car's doing it again. I changed the plugs and wires last time (early April)... they should last longer than that...
Any ideas? It idles rough when warmed up and hesitates when under load at a continuous RPM.www.RedLineVSix.com || 1996 Camaro, 15.159@92.5mph

put those accels in there dan, and yeah, those little spark plug wire boot shields would help the heat a lot. maybe even try getting some insulation or wrap for the heat shields and or exhaust manifolds.
maybe try a different kind of plug, see if they're becoming fouled or not by oil too.2011 Camaro LS 6M, in black.

Taylor makes some covers that are supposed to withstand up to 1200degrees, or something like that.
Have you checked you Catalytic Converter? If it's clogged it may be causing your exhaust to get hotter than it should be, which in turn would melt wires and crack plugs.
