well gotta replace the oil pump tom. any advise on it or tips

Why are you replacing it?
i had a bunch of low oil pressure porblems and I have fixed them all with simple stuff.
As for the oil pump on my 85 camaro i jacked up the car, put it on stands, got some boards, put them under a jack and used the jack to jackup the motor, i unhooked the motor mounts, and tranny mount, I unbolted the oil pan and managed to wiggle it out, then i had full access to the entire bottom of the motor, rods and everything. -

Matt, what are the chances that this could be related tp the sending unit problems that you were having a few months ago?
