Front what I've read, it's a decent mod for the money. You can get them cheaper though by going to http://www.racesearch.com
They have one for my car for 212 dollars. It's the stage 2. I'm seriously considering it.

I have a Jet STage II chip for my 1999 Camaro. Is it worth 300 dollars? No... does it increase horsepower like Jet claims? Kind of...the car feels smoother (noticably smoother) and has a little more pep in it. It won't give you 15HP ...maybe 5-7HP max.

Basically the Stage 2 chip does two things:

Modifies the air/fuel ratio
Modified the timing by 5 degrees

It does nothing more than those 2 things. They have other chips that modify the shiftpoints and kill the speed limiter, etc and I'm sure this chip would work great with the other programmers but that's the scoop

not worth the money.
use the money towards a scan tool with a good instruction manual instead. its not a "mod" per se but it does come in very useful. well worth what you pay for it, unlike the jet chip (i paid $250 for THIS?????)

I think it was worth the money I paid (200), if you don't mind running premium. I wouldn't pay 300 for it though.

Knocked 3 tenths off my ET. Don't waste your time w/ stage one, do intake & exhaust & run stage 2.

If you don't have exhuast, how well does it perform?

I have free ram air mod & jet chip - 15.4 consistant
Free ram air & cutout (no jet cip) - 15.4 consistant
Free ram air, cutout, & jet chip - 15.095 consistant (seriously, I ran that exact e/t 3 times)

All three times on cool nights (lower 80's)

I can't afford running premium any longer, and am selling mine for 170 dollars shipped if you want it e-mail me at th240265@pegasus.cc.ucf.edu.
