If i were to swap any v6 with the v6 i have id to to go with GM's 4.2-liter inline 6 with 270 HP
That engine is so awsome, almost the power of a LT1 stock, and its a little lighter

Since when is 270 horsepower better than 500 horsepower. The 4.3L has a bigger aftermarket than the OBD-II 3.8L AND that 4.2L.

The third and most major reason why a 4.3L doesn't "suck" is listed below.

The fact that it's based off of Small Block Chevy means almost every internal part with relation to bore and stroke will fit. So not only do you have forged pistons for example you have a choice of which ones you want to buy. A 4.3L (262ci) can be bored and stroked to a maximum of 320ci! There are also aluminum race blocks available for a 4.3L.

The 4.3 is a darn good engine and pretty easy to hop up. I would not mind hopping up one just for the fun of it but, to stuff it in my camaro is a different story. The 3.8 is plenty and can be made to run just as strong as the 4.3, you just need the right parts. ;)
