  • YIPPIE...I changed my plugs

Wow, gawd those things are a PITA.

    http://www.camarov6.com/cgi-bin/ulti...&f=10&t=001160

Well I started last night before I went to the track, and only got one in. So im not sure if that hurt my times or not.

Also can our cars run with 5 plugs without throwing a code? Because when I checked today one of my wires was off of my plug.

I would expect it to throw a misfire code if it wasn't getting power. Maybe you were lucky and caught it in time.

if you only have 5 cylinders firing, you will get a nasty hesitation. Maybe it was arcing to the plug when the engine was running.

I changed mine for the first time 2 days ago. Yes, they are a pain. The easiest way I could get to them was from under the car. Still took 3 and a half hours. Plug 4 was a serious pain. Grrrrr. I changed the plugs, wires (wire 5 was cracked open), oil, oil filter, flushed the radiator and added new coolant, changed the thermostat, and cleaned the air filter out the best I could. All of that took 9 hours. I'm gonna change the transmission filter and add new fluids. Then I'm gonna Sea Foam EVERYTHING. Anybody know how much time the rest of this will take?
