Go to AutoZone and buy a new window motor.
Do a search of this site on "window motor" (see "search" link it top right corner of this page..) and you'll come up with some threads that answer the how-to side of it. You should find a link to an online pictorial step-by-step of the process, as well as some tips on install.

Does it make any mechanical noises? Clunks of glass on metal, or metal on metal? My window started to make a loud clunk about half way up and wouldn't go any further. Turns out one of the followers on the metal channel, at the base of the window, had broken off and the window was no longer following the correct path when moving up and down. It was hitting the door and not continuing up. Just to make sure it is the motor and not something else.

The motor should Not make any noises when it goes. And you can usually predict when they are going to fail because they do it over time. Usually they will start getting slower, then they will only roll up a little at a time, then they will completely stop working.

Did you say you took off the door panel and there was a piece broken?
        What piece was it?

        Does it look like this?:

If so, it is real easy to change. The second picture shows what the new part looks like from the dealer. You just drill out three rivets, pull out the window, slide out the old piece, slide in the new (don’t forget to grease it), then put the window back in.

The hard part is putting the window back in. You can use bolts and lock washers but don’t tighten them down too much (you will shatter your window).

no the motor went out.....it happend like that one guy said.... it was alil slow when i bought the car. then lately it would roll down and then roll partly up let it set for a min then you could finish it. Im taking it to the dealer tomarrow b/c it is still under warrenty 3 years 36k. My new question is do you think they will have the motor at the dealship or will they have to order it. If they have to order it, is there any simple way I can get my window up or anything...its a tit bit chilly out ... or should I ask them to do so at the dealership. also be4 I take it in should I take my motor mods off??? will they inspect. j/w
