    when i was at the track last night 3 or 4 times at idle the car shot up to about 4,500 rpm with out me touchin the gas...any ideas?

    TPS or IAC problems.

    Sounds like a dirty/stuck IAC.

      next time it does it, turn the A/C on, and if it idles normally again, then it is the IAC. They are not that expensive, should definetly not be more than $20. Might as well just replace it. You have about a 90% chance. :D
