anyone replaced the head gasket themselves?

i have been running low on coolant, once in a while, but nothing too major, now I am worried that I may have a blown gasket, but, the oil looks fine and the coolant looks normal, what else could be causing this?

It figures that you couldn't get the best for the 3.4L off the shelf.
