I use the trip odometer in my 'maro to keep track of MPG.
I don't worry about waiting for 3K miles to come around. I just automatically change my oil every 2 months. I average about 2500 miles during that time, never going more than 2800 though.2000 Monterey Maroon Chevrolet Camaro
3.8L V-6/4spd Auto

I use a plastic sticky on the windshield to keep track of oil mileage.http://www.cardomain.com/id/kefkafloyd
Red 1997 Pontiac Firebird 3.8L A4 w/ Y87
