I just changed the oil, filter, and spark plugs, now the change oil light comes on and stays on for a minute or two then goes, it periodically comes on then off, what gives??

Same as the 3.4s, turn engine off, put key in "Run" position which is the click right before starting the engine. Hold the tripometer button for ~12 seconds until it blinks.

Not exactly. The owners manual recommends you change the oil at least every 7500. The oil change light itself keeps track of operating time and engine load to determine when you shoudl change the oil.
