    I don't know though. Doesn't oil heat up and break down after awhile though?

      There also was a guy on the Z28 board who said he used mobile 1 and changed the oil regularly and at 120,000 miles he decided to do a total rebuild just because he wanted to. (Some people really do that, not me, but some people have too much free time I guess) Anyway he said the engine looked flawless when he tore it apart, no wear at all.

        I'd say it's a testimony to the 88 3800 Series I, which I have in my car as well. They run extra clean, and don't burn oil, and they make good torque so the tranny doesn't constantly downshift, and shoot the rpm's up. If I were picking a car test like that, it'd be the series I 3800.
