basic question... replacing air filter

I want to replace my air filter with a K&N filter, this is my first time doing this so I was wondering if someone can kindly give me a procedure for it? I am sure it's easy, but I want to be 100% certain that I won't do something stupid [img]smile.gif[/img]

btw, what's the part # for the K&N air filter for my car? It's a '96 V6 firebird.

I REALLY want to do the SLP CAI, but it's a bit pricey for me at this time... anyone here looking to get rid of their used SLP CAI? Please let me know!

open the airbox. its located at the front of the engine... drivers side corner..


to do so. take out the pins to take out the air silencer..

then get to the airbox, open it. take out the old air filter.. drop the new one in.

then put it back in its place. make sure everything is secure around the throttle body..and vuala..
