Just bought a mod for my 1996 Pontiac firebird. The instructions say that it is to be placed inside the IAT sensor, but I was having trouble since they did not include the location of the IAT sensor. So I then ordered a Haynes repair manual for 1993-2000 Camaro/Firebird, because my car did not come with an owners manual. Still looking through it, but thus far have been unable to find anything on the IAT sensor. If anyone could please help me on this, I would really appreciate it. Also, what does IAT stand for?

Intake Air Temperature sensor. It tells the computer what the temperature of the air is that is coming in. The resistor you bought tells the computer that cold air is coming in. Should be the first sensor you see connected to the intake pipe near your air filter.
