• from 5800 to 6600 RPM

I was just looking at the hypertech programmer for the LS1 engine, it says "Adjusts engine redline from 5800 RPM to 6600 RPM in 100 RPM increments. " isnt 6600 pretty high for auto to change gears? i mean our cars only go upto about 7000

They give us this option so that at wot, we can shift back into our useable powerband. I worry about valve float at high rpm's, so i won't do it when i get it.

I read that the ASE chip gives u 500 RPM over the rev limitter.A little to much to use in our cars.isn't it?

yes heh, i would never pass red area if i had m5 anyways imo, i think a4 changes the gear at a great place (5800, which is right before red area)
