alright I just recently got a onepeical steal drivehsaft for my camaro. But I want to take it down and get ti sandblasted and powdercoated black. But the company that I"m gonna take it to said they were going to completely disaemle the drive shaft to get a good coat of powder on there. So I figured since I work at an autoshop with access to alot of good tools I figured I would just replace the parts they take off with new ones. But my question is whats all that takes part in and if you could point me to a guide that could help me. I did a search but nothing came up
They're probably going to remove the yoke and U-joints to paint the shaft.
You can't really reuse U-joints unless you're very careful taking them out so the needles don't go flying everywhere. New joints are fairly cheap though. Can be a bit tricky getting the caps on, but as long as there's enough grease in to hold the needles along the edge and you make sure it's centered going on, you'll be okay.

You really don't want to reuse the old u-joints period. New U joints range from $7.99 - $15.99 (just bought 2 for my driveshaft from AutoZone). They come fully assembled (have the greasable u-joints) and all you need to do is put on the snaprings once the joint is seated correctly.

Ahhh yes, but only because it's been powdercoated.

the only things removed that needs to be replaced is the U joints> the slip yoke will come off but that can be reused. Just make sure that it's re ballenced after the powdercoat
