  • HELLLLOOOO New Orleans!

This February I'll be taking the camaro to New Orleans!!!! Yaaaa.. well I'd like to get a good lookover of the car before I go. So I'm gonna tell ya guys what has been done, and ask what I'll need to look at.

    Done
    New Battery and Alternator
    Buying New Tires
    Got Spare and Jack

Brake booster is bad.. fixing that myself
Bad driver's side window motor, anyone selling?
    Oil change before I go
Tranny service? I have a shift kit, and it slips at wot on the highway. What to do there? I drove 3 hours recently no problem.
Installed 180 degree thermostat, flushed coolant system at a shop. and the temperature is holding steady.
Plugs and wires are pretty new, i've seafoamed a few times in my car's lifespan. Gas mileage is rock solid on the highway

What else should I do before I go? The camaro has 85000 miles and getting headers installed this January (I'm looking at you viper ;) ). Any fears about those and a long trip?

It's 1053 miles to my destination

    check rear fluid,
    Fuel filter
spare and jack don't do any good if theres no air in the spare

ebay usally has motors for 30-40 bucks new (window motors lol)

we'll give it a good look over after the headers are in.
i carry tools and a little air pump with me and a tire plug kit all the time, i would rather driv on a pluged tire the my spare lol
