Hey, my car is a 97 bird but the stupid t.signal chime sounds like it did 20 years ago- annoying. My friend has a Malibu that sounds much better, is there some way to change this sound ? flasher.

i have to agree i really thought they would have changed it
i have a 98 and its still the old sound
id be really glad to hear of a way to change it also

ok im sorry mines not a chime but more the olde click-clunk kind of sound
it seemed a little weird and at first i was so supprised at how stiff the signal is i thought it was going to snap

Just go to your nearest parts store and find an electronic flasher module. It will look exactly like the stock one except it will be made out of plastic. Most of the time they're transparent so you can acually see the circuit inside. It definetly does not clink-clunk like stock, but depending on the model it might have a slight tick.

mine is electronic and it is plastic. I replaced it a while back. Funny, I too have always thought I was back in the 70's with this clicker as well. Changing the flasher unti sound like an idea. Still will have to force the darn turn signla stick down though....1994, 3.4, 3.23, Dark Green<br />74,000 Miles as of 05/15/02<br />Have had tons of problems but still<br />love the darn thing,,,,Comment
