my fuel guage is screwed up. for me to run a complete tank of gas it goes from being completely full to 3/4 of a tank. it did this before; then it worked fine; now it's doing it again. is there a problem with the part that's in the tank and has anyone replaced this or is it some kind of sending unit?

It's just a little elbow that attaches to the fuel pump. It's probably stuck on something. Don't go through all that trouble untill you want to replace the fuel pump itself. I'll post a pic in a few. -

See the arrow? That little thingy floats so that's how the gauges knows how much gas you have left. When installed without care you can put this up agains the wall of the gas tank and it will just sitting there. Something is blocking it's way down.Comment

Domestic Violence, my car is doing this. How did you finally resolve this issue? I don't want to drop my fuel tank... EVER. It's a weekends worth of work.
