      My goal is to increase actual lighting performance and not mimic HID. I think that's just stupid when you go after look than function.

      So, as a quick summary:

      1)replacing bulb gives limited gain -&gt; not worth it
      2)HID conversion costs at least $1000 if not more, but is the best way to get a true upgrade in lighting performance -&gt; too expensive

      Conclusion: Stop driving at night [img]tongue.gif[/img]

        it will cost you around $400 for HID. All you need is the housing to fit the "bulb" and to buy the HID kit.
