  • Cleaning bottom end....

Whats the best way to clean **** built up in the bottom end of engine while you have the top part taken apart??? A guy told me to run gasoline through it a couple times to dissolve everything. I personally think theres a better solution or something.

not really sure what your trying to clean but if you just trying to get the outside of the lower engine you could just get some break parts cleaner. It just disolves greese away I'm going to buy about 4 or 5 cans of the stuff and just go to town on my whole egine to get it nice and clean one day.

ya i'm talking the inside...like cleaning the build up that gets into the oil passages in the crank and cam bearings and such so they last longer

oh my bad, sorry don't know of any thing that can really help. Call around some engine shops that are in your city and ask them how they clean it out.

u can go to a machine shop and get the block vatted. its basically dipped in a 200-300* acid solution... cleans her right up. around here usually runs about 30$.

the only things you can really do is have it taken apart and have a mehcine shop do it. When you have it together and running you have more options.
