  • A/C problem???

    ok my a/c takes along time to cool. I need to refill on refrigorator coolant I think thats whats its called or freeon. But anyways I want to know if it is 134a for a 97 pontiac firebird.

    I'm pretty sure. Just pop your hood and it will be on that sticker on the left side towards the middle... the sticker that shows the belt assembly and things. It says what to fill it with but I'm positive it's RF134

      Any vehicle manufactured after late 1993 uses HFC-134a.

        More commonly referred to as R-134a.

        I'm not licensed or certified or anything but I grew up on a farm and have done a lot of a/c work on our equipment.
