  • leak issues... now its getting annoying

A few weeks ago I posted about getting water on the passenger side floor when I'm driving at highway speeds in the rain. All the seals seemed good, but it seemed the water came from up under the dash. I then pulled the panels and carpet and sealed off the whole area. I thought maybe the leaks were coming from above where I could seal, but this was the best option.
Anyway, the other day I got the puddle again, this time it wasn't raining, but I had the AC running. Now I know that I'm also getting water in when I run the AC for awhile, and today when it rained.. same as before I sealed under the dash. The door jam seals are in good shape. I tested with a sprayer to see where the water came in, and found at least a few drops under the dash, but then I sealed that, and still get water.
I know know involves the AC compressor, but do I have two leaks- one for rain and one from the AC? Or is it more likely they are both in the same spot. I'm betting on the same spot, but how would a considerable amount of water come from the compressor? Seems more than condensation.
The water usually isn't enough to show through my mats, but after a few hours it make a nice puddle for me. Also, it never leaks when the car is parked in the rain. Haven't checked that with the AC running yet. This is starting to really annoy me, any help would be appreciated.

It sounds like you have a plugged drain. I can't give you specific locations because I have never had the problem on my Camaro (I have on my Corvette), but somewhere in the engine compartment against the firewall you will find a drain to let moisture out of the ductwork. Check to make sure it isn't plugged.
