Once again, the LS1/LS6 engine will fit. I have personally seen many examples of this. You can even do a search in some car mags. for it. I personally would prefer to have one of the two Ramjet engines since they produce more power.

I emailed the guys at HPSALVAGE.COM and they told me that I can definitely fit an LS1 in my 94 3.4 and they never once mentioned changing the whole front end. They do this for a living so I would be more inclined to believe them. Go for it man do the LS1!!!

If the motor is an LS6, or even an LS1 from a corvette, don't the accesories mount in different spots? The oil pan is also different. It would be cheaper to find a F-body LS1 than convert a corvette LS1 I think. But, if its an actual LS6 than you have no choice. Are the exhaust manifolds different? Also, I don't know what would be necessary to get the corvette computer to work in the f-body. There could sensors that won't match up or are missing, don't know about that for sure though. An LS6 in V6 badging would be pretty sweet if you could pull it off though

Copied from www.hpsalvage.com Swap Tips:
LS1
Requires high pressure fuel pump, 58 PSI, and return fuel line.
'97 - '98 Corvette LS1 has a pressure regulator and return line as
part of the fuel rail while the Camaro LS1 has the pressure regulator
in the tank and only the high pressure line going into the fuel rail.
The Camaro LS1 can be modified by using the '97 - '98 Corvette
fuel rail and pressure regulator or by adding an aftermarket inline
pressure regulator. Only the LS1 4L60E, BWT56 and the '99 and
newer truck Vortec V8 transmissions will work with the LS1 engine.
These include the 4L60E and 4L80E for 2WD and 4WD applications.
A VSS is required for the engine to work properly. A VATS simulator
must be added for the computer to work.
The Corvette oil pan has side extensions which could pose a problem in an
engine swap.

The specifications page on that website has some basic dimensions as well.

Hey xFactoRx:
A good place for some additional information on the install/swap is to contact the people at this website www.sdpc2000.com . They are a registered GM seller of crate engines, etc. and from my personal experience have been very helpfull in answering any questions I have about it. The only problem you might have with the LS1/LS6 swap is the oil pan, but that can be easily changed/fixed with some minor modifications. Good luck and keep us updated on how it turns out. I'm planning on putting in my ramjet soon as I get the check from my insurance company. Take care and good luck.

P.S. If you have any questions then feel free to email me at nobody2uagain2@aol.com or page me on the message board.
