  • A Tip On Oil Filters, for all 3.4 owners

Hey, if all you 3.4 owners want more protection, install an AC Delco filter part number PF52 or something equivlent. Its the same as the regular filter, but about 3in longer. Make sure its an AC Delco or Pure-One or something along those lines, if its a cheap filter it will not have an anti drainback valve, and we all hate that cold start knock.

Do you know the dimensions of that bigger filter. I'm trying to see if K&N filets make one similar to it for their gold series oil filters. Thanks in advance.

if K&N makes a filter for a 4.3L V6 Blazer, that's the one you want.

I have a 87 Buick GN and they also have their filter sideways, and its a massive sin if you use a cheap filter without an anti drainback valve. I was thinking, what makes the 3.4 different? Filter sits the same way.. Thats how i also learned the bigger filter trick.. its what ive been doin to my 87 GN for a while now, but it didnt click til last time i changed the oil in the cars.
