  • Check guages light

Let me first start by saying that iam new on here but I did try to do a search on this topic first and could not find any info. I have a 2000 Camaro 3.8, with about 70,300 on it, shes in great shape. About a week ago my " check guages " light came on and i dont know what the heck the problem is. If anyone out there knows why that may be on please let me know, thank you in advance. BTW all fluid levels are good.

IS the car over heating, is the oil pressure good, are the volts good? My light came on once, i looked down and my temp was in the red. Turns out my tstat was sticking.

I just read your other post...your light is on becuase your car knows its running too cool..change that t-stat. No need to post the same problem twice, you already figured out the problem your self.

Rather than trying to go through all the couple hundred possible causes, just take it down and have it scanned. Many auto parts stores like Autozone will scan it for free and tell you what the code is. Trying to guess like this is a waste of time, just go get it scanned.
