the gauge always shows the batter charging as far as the gauge will go when the car is on, but when the car is off it goes down like it should, so its not stuck or anything... I had it tested and the battery is actually charging at what it should, so its just a gauge problem... its not really that big of a problem but still...

Does your gauge tend to do a "Ping Pong" thing, while driving? I this this problem (decently massive stereo) said "F" the capacitors, an' got a Load Boss Alternator which cranks out 180A as opposed to the rather limp-wristed 105A, from the factory. Unfortunately, I had 2 smoke the diodes outta' a brand new NAPA one (They declined to honor the warranty) in order to find this out.
