  • Quick question b4 i do this

I've searched this but i wanna just be super sure, i talked to the guy at Autozone and he told me all i had to do was take out the negative connection to the battery and that would be it, and to just remove the fuel filter. Now, i've searched on here and they talked about a schrader valve. is it really necessary to do the schrader (if spelled correctly) valve step or can i skip it?

There's a fuel filter tech article on there in addition to many other useful things.

I think that step is just a safety precaution. What you are really doing during this step is just releasing the pressure in the line to help prevent fuel spray when you remove the fuel filter. I guess that is why they also recommend removing the fuel pump fuse and negative battery cable.
