• Strange noise when turning

I've noticed lately that when I make small quick turns either way there's a slight popping sound coming from what I think is the driver's side wheel/suspension/steering linkage. But it ONLY makes the sound if you make sudden turns, maybe only a quarter rotation of the steering wheel. I've looked at it and can't visably see any problems, has anyone else had this kinda issue? I'm probably going to take it to the dealer in a day or so anyways but it'd be nice to know what it might be before hand in case I can fix it myself.

Do you feel the popping too? I've noticed it in the steering on my car too. It feels like its in the column linkage to me. Anywho, post results of your trip to the dealer, or if you find the cause.

Check the bushings for the sway bar. I've heard that sometimes they can slip a little causing a bind in the steering linkage resulting in a popping sound. Especially if it's making the sound during a hard sudden turn.

How can I prevent them from slipping? Clean the bushings off really good, maybe scuff the bar with some sand paper? It did it before I put the 32 mm bar up front.

I had the samething a couple of yrs back. I can even feel it on my hands. It only happens when my car is still cold. But it disappeared and never came back
